mission running is decent money for a scrub if you can do L4s and I'm not even talking about blitzing here. of course if you want to make money via pve the best way to do that is incursions or nullsec ratting.

PvP is simplistic and mostly based around stalking weaker targets and hoping they do something stupid so you can PWN them. Fleetfights are 50% yelling, and 50% zerg.
Mining and mission running is like powerleveling in goldshire by killing boars.
Corp and alliance efforts take time and only offer a good return if you absolutely fucking love it.

It's a time vampire of the worst kind, if you must play this i suggest going straight to lowsec to learn pvp fast and hard, if you don't have a learning disability going straight to wormhole sec is the most fun you can have and everything you do is likely to pay for ship upgrades and other bullshit.
No matter what you choose, you'll end up justifying spending ungodly amounts of time on grinding and spreadsheet crap. It always sounds like a great idea full of potential, but at the end of the day you could have had more fun playing another game that didn't butcher your free time even as a NEET you will die and wither.
It's never as fun as EVE addicts make it sound, like ever other type of junkie they want you to start using too. in b4 triggered "i grind for fun"-faggots telling me how they find their wife(male) in the game and love to take CCP dick up their crusty bumholes.

Train skills for years to fly bigger and badder ships to fight/mine in player run clans/corps/alliances, or trade stuff to make ISK, the game's currency (well, really it exists to obscure the fact that your time is the currency but same diff). Endgame starts right away unless you do missions to get to grips with the basics. Expect to invest at minimum years or more than a decade of your life to get anywhere considering everyone has a decade plus worth more "skills" (unlocks) than you though.

I was suggesting low skill, high payout ways to make isk. PI is great because in the right place you can make a few bills a month for 5min of work a day.

Then you can just use that money for unlimited frigate/destroyer/cruiser PvP. Bonus points if you do it on a FW alt, because you can make back some of your losses from doing FW while PvPing

Wrong. PvP in Eve is all about range dictation. If you're faster than your target and can out-range him then you win. If you're a brawler and can get under their guns then you win. It's rock paper scissors with fits/hulls.

That's what i'm getting at, you just find something you can beat and stalk it until they fuck up or get away, then you wait and repeat.
It's true for all except blobs where it's just yelling and zerging.
It reminds me of the PvP in Diablo 2 where the same dirty polak on his pentium 2 rig that somehow still runs insists that his build similar to every other build for that class is winning because he managed to get lucky and hit the other guy and instakill him after 50 misses.

It's the SAME FUCKING GUY that plays EVE. He spent too much time training skills and imprinting game mechanics into his burned out brain to accept that what he's doing is literally simpler than WoW PvP on a hunter. WoW being THE game to make fun of because EVE is le thinking mans game.
EVE is for simpleton office drones, insisting that patience and endless grinding is actionpacked and exciting when even the most casual MMO's have better combat.
