Borderlands is often considered the best of the Telltale game.

Definitely their peak, nothing I've played from them since has been as engaging.

Everybody likes borderlands but that's just because they did the borderlands feel really well. I enjoyed that one too. They're about the same, imo. Maybe twau a little below Borderlands, dunno.

I enjoyed it, but I feel like the Telltale style and prequel status puts the premise of the story at a disadvantage, considering that you're trying to solve a mystery and put clues together, but the game has to find a way to make sure that you can't screw up enough to ever really ruin your investigation or kill off the important canon characters.

I think the choices on my first playthrough in Walking Dead will always be the ones that hit the hardest, partially because it feels like there was genuine effort in changing how characters responded to you, even if the final outcome was the same, and partially because it was before the Telltale formula became, more formulaic?

Like playing through Game of Thrones it was pretty obvious where your choices would mean zilch.
