From now until September/October they're mainly working on optimizing, bug fixing, and polishing the game, along with putting in the Rocket ending and finishing theGhost Leviathan. Hopefully during that time they'll find some time to finish this guy and put him in.

They're also already planning an expansion for after launch, and there's three biomes in the works/planning stage.

if you're on the fence about this game. just fucking get it. The only significant feature missing is the ending so you have plenty of time to get your character going (explore/build) until then. Also, might be old news by now, but they added several mesas to the Crash Zone that have lots of plantlife and fish and some Bonesharks swimming around the tops of them, the Crash Zone Mesas. They're subzones to the Crash Zone and even have the greenish tint to the water that the Kelp Forests have.

The Reapers do swim very close to a couple of them, though.

Mantis Shrimp, and yes, the Rock Puncher was originally going to work with the terraforming aspect by punching apart the terrain and digging burrows and stuff. But with terraforming being removed it got put on the back burner, though it was rigged and has some animations. The fans have suggested it can punch apart the Large Resource Deposits the PRAWN can drill (or at least LRDs modified to simply be rock formations) as well as be hazards to bases by punching at them.

i stopped playing for like a year and installed the latest patch and i think they changed the recipe of computer chips (aka the thing you will be making billions of) from 2 silver to 2 copper and copper is an absolute fucking pain to find lots of in early game due to rock deposit rng

but protip: just go to the sea treader path zone (NW of grand reef) and you will find huge, passive creatures walking along the seafloor in the zone and everytime they move they spawn a despoit on the ground that drops copper

you can fill your whole inventory with copper in less than 2 minutes, its a game changer

if you really want to know

you dont really need a seamoth, in fact you are most likely just going to get it killed by a reaper if you dont know what you are doing. anyway, huge the western edge of the aurora and follow it up all the way up to the front until you can see a huge dropoff you can dive into - which is around about where the completely fucked up part of the ship is with all the broken wreckage and everything is on fire. dive down a bit - and be careful because there is guaranteed 1 reaper right here - and go under the body of the aurora, keep going in the northern direction until you are able to fully surface and then turn around and you should see an obvious bit of aurora hull that is partially in the water and is acting like a ramp for you to climb onto, thats the main way to get aboard, just follow the treasure chests and they will lead you to 1 of two entrances

you will need a bunch of tools to fully explore the ship though: scanner/repair tool/laser cutter/propulsion cannon

at this point you should also have a seaglide and flashlight and they will also come in handy

make sure you have your scanner out the whole time because there are a LOT of goodies on the aurora to scan

No you don't. If you're thinking large deposits you need a PRAWN drill arm, nor do you need lithium to build a base. All you need to start is titanium and a piece of glass for the hatch. If you're thinking of lithium because you need more hull integrity build some more foundations. You can always deconstruct later and pretty things up. You also find lithium as small deposits to pick up, same as any others except for one lategame resource.
