Well, to be fair the example you posted was extremely out of character for Goku at the time, who in all previous situations acted irrationally in the face of deadly adversaries. Goku might seem calm and switched on in that scene, but he goes on to gamble everything on his son, which while not a terrible decision outright, he never discussed the plan with Gohan and worse still, he willingly allows Cell to return to his full fighting strength. Following that up with his reckless attitude towards Buu, despite the Supreme Kai's warning, it was Goku's decision to fight Majin Vegeta instead of helping defeat Babidi/Dabura that ultimately led to the release of Majin Buu and all of the subsequent deaths that followed. Then, when given the chance to end Buu outright, he refuses and goes back to heaven, later to be revived where he fuses with his counterpart retard, Vegeta. Together they prefer fucking around instead of vaporising Buu, and end up eaten, unfused and the end result is Earth's destruction and Goku being the one who ends up fighting and defeating Buu anyway, not his children.

Any real DB fan realizes that Super is not what everyone was expecting and most times feels like a fanfic. After all the manga and Z ended like 20 years ago, and it's really hard to meet expectations of old fans, specially the way they just completely changed the personality of most characters.

I loved Z, and I loved the Zamasu and Tournament arcs of Super. I don't understand why people shit on Super. It's nowhere near the pile of shit that was GT, which people still somehow defend. Goku doesn't face any threats in his universe, and he loves, LOVES, to fight. Of course his nature is gonna get the better of him. Also, movies are not canon, they have never been canon, they will never be canon. Beerus, Golden Frieza, Black, Zamasu, etc are all Super characters, and it doesn't fucking matter because they will be in the game no matter where they came from.

Goku and Vegeta feel so off in Super and I'm only a few episodes in. Goku feels like more of an idiot and Vegeta just feels...like forced angry if that makes sense.

Everyone else feels fine but those too just kinda feel off. Goku's shitty voice doesn't do it justice either. That way of speaking Japanese is so ugly.

The gameplay that's been shown off is pretty promising and the people who have played it, both pros and casuals alike love it so far. There's going to be a new build at EVO this weekend so there will be tons of new footage.
Future Trunks is in this one and maybe one more if we're lucky.

I'm invested in Super just to see how Beerus is going to react to having to see his brother deleted and how Vegeta is going to react to watching the saiyan race die out again.

Also Freeza is still a treat even when he's TV-Y7

Don't forget though that this game is launching with a roster of around 20 give or take so not everyone will be in. The good news is that they'll probably at least have a lot of variety to them unlike other DBZ games in regards to styles; not to mention ArcSys has mastered the StreetFighter2 style of rereleases so in 9 months or so there will be another version with 4 new characters or so on top of DLC and the process will continue.
