I played it for like 5 hours (Just got that faggoty ass witch as a party member) but nothing grabbed my attention, so I went back to FFXV. It's hard to play Tales games after Xillia 2. They captured lightning in a bottle with that game, despite the reused assets and areas.

I just fiddle with my phone while listening to the in-game radio. You can abuse fast travel anyway, if you want, and once you get Chocobos everything gets a lot easier. Ultimately I really like the world's design. It looks almost exactly like what I'd imagine FFI-V's worlds would look like in 3D.

You heard wrong. Seriously you have a single guy that is willing to go against every boss, find the weakness then change his spam to match the boss.

That works in normal and easy mode, but put it in hard, and suddenly you'll have the boss suddenly start countering your attacks making you lose souls/attacks since moves that go together like that don't flow or combo well at all. It's oddly better to block and punish.

While the dub is definitely uneven, I think I prefer Velvet in English. She has a really high quality VA plus I like how fierce and angry she sounds in battle.

The Japanese audio is all around better, but I think the dub has plenty of noteworthy performances. I'll admit, this is because dubs have an insanely low bar for quality in the US.

I mean, I don't blame him for making an assumption. Good dubs are really rare because, at least in the US, we've had the same handful of complacent actors in everything since 1995. The only real measure for quality is just being better than what 4kids did to anime in the early 2000s. Bad or mediocre dubs are so commonplace, that it sometimes becomes difficult to recognize a good dub when you finally find one.
