Played it at AX for a bit, plays like Streets of Rage mixed with another game I forgot the name of (spell-based realtime battles). It's pretty fun, though the prototype was stuttery and buggy.

The first half is mostly episodic that focuses more on character building. Afterwards, the story kicks in.

I personally loved all of it. The daily shenanigans of akko and her friends in the first half were really entertaining, and each of them are unique.

Well yeah, and no one wants to wait for months for a new episode, so they had to cut down on the animation and therefore taking away the charm of the films, which is a shame but atleast we got 25 episodes out of this.
