why do you guys want it on ps4 so badly
it emulates perfectly, besides having to start it in a weird way because of the audio issues (which are fixed as long as you start the game properly) and the 2 levels that use the fire sprite that crash the game, that can be disabled for those 2 levels. It's a bit wonk but once you learn how to run it nicely it's perfect.

The worst one is gates to infinity, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

People didn't like PSMD as much because of the difficulty, item management, and less post-game content compared to other games (even if there is still a fuck-ton of stuff to do).

At least what I liked about the final boss is that it had this widespread beam that forced you to use the blocking command. Even when perfectly blocked it did a bunch of "-1dmg -1dmg -1dmg" which gave a sense of danger. It was a bit repetitive, and it could have been done better, but it's much better than giving the player a block command that is then ignored for the rest of the game. Also the stuff after beating the final boss was level 100 depression material.

I highly recommend the original. They got pretty lazy with the remake, especially at the end. The ending cutscene lacks all the impact, the PS1 design of Klonoa, and all the visuals just have so much more charm on PS1.
