Ugh,Lee
Just youtubed this, terrifying. Why doesn't fallout do shit like this anymore?
>>383824431
Because the game is now owned by bethesda which is led by certain individuals like in pic related.
>>383824431
bethesda ruins everything with original thought
. like the ability to sleep with whores or kill children
[Speech, 81%] This has to end, Master. You need to destroy yourself and this base.
>>383824769
>Arghh!! hooman talk too much!!
You've gotten a lot farther than you should have, but then you haven't met Frank Horrigan either. Your ride's over, mutie. Time to die.
>>383824769
Isn't Pete a marketing guy? He might not have much to do with the development of Bethesda games as a whole.
On the other hand, Emil Pagliarulo is a writer. He's the dude in charge of writing the overarching stories in FO4 and such. He's pretty bad at that, but he did write a lot of the sidequests in Oblivion, so perhaps he was just promoted out of his depth.

Why didn't the nu-fallouts ever have metal death animations.

I miss this kind of thing. It's boring when I kill some important asshole who has been harassing me the entire game only to have him ragdoll like the 100's of bums I killed.
>>383825136
>Time to die.
I loved Fallout 2 but HOLY SHIT SO MANY FUCKING POP CULTURE REFERENCES EVERY 12 SECONDS.
>>383824769
He isn't wrong. Video game dialogue should cut through the bullshit and get to the point. We should be playing games not watching or listening to them. Metal Gear Solid is one of the worst offenders of this.
Bethesda's strengths are in their detailed immersive worlds you want to explore. Not dialogue after dialogue after dialogue.
>>383829657
I wonder who could be behind this post.
>>383829657
>>383829657
Bethesda writes boring dialogues. I still wonder how do they fuck up their quests, like, things not being triggered and you're getting stuck with some quest (at least PC has command console to fix this kind of stuff).
>>383829657
Actually, I think videogames should cut the gameplay to get to the dialogue
Your move

Interesting because I found Fallout 1 and 2 death animations to be extremely repetitive crap after awhile. The gore while impressive at first loses its luster once you realize you can blow someone's body off by targeting their groin with a magnum. A modern take on old school fallout would be pretty damn refreshing though considering what they could do.
>>383832317
Have you tried playing with the Bloody Mess trait?
>>383829657
Metal Gear Solid only became popular because of it's atmosphere accomplished substantially through dialogue. Fucking mong.
Fallout was the same until you raped its corpse, Todd.
>>383824815
I would prefer if you switched that last sentence around a little.
>>383829354
Not a bad thing if you embrace it like they did.
This creeped me the fuck out when I played it the first time
>>383829236
A million times this. This is why I used to like cutscenes as a kid. I also really liked the inclusion of executions in GTA IV because you had a bit more control. I would like to see more of this shit.
>>383824143
*blows up your base*
>>383832440
That makes things worst. The death animations are limited in the game due to its age I'd assume. The gore in the game has its limits. You can't just blow off a leg for example. Like I said it is pretty cool to see at first but it does get old after awhile. I can't say the same for games like MK, Gears or even NG2 which all do gore much better. Although as I said it was probably limitations due to the year the games came out.

Fuck off retard

>Playing Fallout Online
>Raiding Los Angeles Vault with friend
>Finally clear up to The Master
>Neither of us are smart enough to talk to him
>Fight him instead
>My friend has power armor so he's tanking
>The Master eventually kills my friend
>I'm sitting there in cheap metal armor
>Half health and no stimpacks
>Throw my last grenade at him
>It kills him
>Try to revive my friend
>Medical skill too low
>Have to wait for him to run back
>He finally gets back and we loot him
>Drops plasma rifle
>And 1k caps
>MFW
He was the world's biggest pain in the nuts to kill in Fallout Online and his loot sucked.
>>383832957
Yeah, Fallout doesn't have a lot of variety in death animations. I do like them for the sheer brutality though. Especially when you crit an enemy.
>>383833238
BRIAN PEPPERS

>Edgy South Park both-sideism bullshit

>>383833238
Didn't know you could kill the master in FOnline.
Your appointment to FEMA should be finalized within the week, I've already discussed the matter with the senator.
When will Obsidian make a new Fallout game with Fallout 4 engine?
>>383832317
Lou Tenant there has an individual death animation that is shared with none. Same thing with Frank Horrigan.
>>383833535
I take it he was agreeable?
>>383833535

>>383833461
Must be a new raid boss added in FOnline 2. Or then he's talking about that one robed guy who was called Master IIRC.
>>383833351
Yeah but you have to admit that a Fallout 1 or 2 created these days has the potential to be much more exciting in this regard. Assuming it has the same style of course and not recreated into an FPS/TPS hybrid.
>>383833238
Fallout Online was fucking brutal, one of the hardest games I've ever played
>Spend countless days farming
>Power Armor is finally mine
>Leave Vault I was farming
>On my way back to my camp on world map
>Notice a dot following me on map
>Decide to let it catch up and see what it is
>It's a gang of players from unknown clan
>At least 10 of them
>Right away they start gunning me down
>Trying to escape but my legs are shot
>Can't make it out of there in time
>Die and lose Power Armor
>>383832957
>muh gore o_o
Look at these retards. No wonder games suck dick nowadays. They have to sell to failed abortions like you.
>>383833707
I have no trust for Obsidian anymore to be honest. I also hate that we only have these shitty big game publishers/developers like Bethesda and a bunch of has-beens like Obsidian and InXile. Where's all the new talent making video games? I guess the industry is in decline.
>>383833719
>>383833820
>>383833956
You can only blame yourself lad. What were you thinking? If you got valuable loot you do a beeline the closest tent.
>>383833956
>The russian hitsquads standing outside of the first area confirming you're one of them or just immediately gunning you down
Oh a wise guy huh? Look, im tracing you right now, pal. We'll see how smart you feel with internal security all over your fricking ass... Dickhead!
WHERE IS YOUR ARMOR?!
>>383834124
Gore is a pretty big selling point of that game. Without it its shit gameplay becomes even more terrible.
>>383833943
Can't tell you how much I would cream over a Fallout: Enhanced Edition. (A real one too, not Beamdog bullshit)
>>383829354
And the worst part is that it has aged so poorly because of it. Half of the references flew over my head, and I saw a few that I felt like I should have known but just didn't
