Can we all agree that Veronica is the most boring? She has elements I like about her; the desire to feel more feminine, the willingness to venture out and seek a better way for her people. Something about her though, I just am not crazy about.

If Obsidian had been able to finish the game and flesh out the Legion more, Ulysses would have been a companion you find on the way to Novac. As it is, the Legion still has some representation in the form of Raul, who states that Legion territory is very peaceful (albeit out of tyranny).

Follow the main road for the first part of the game, doing all the side quests you can along the way (Nipton's Sherrif, Boone's quest, etc). Continue until you get to the Vegas strip gate. Then do the King's missions. You can now branch out and do all of Freeside, random NCR fort missions, and just wander. Make sure you're centralizing on 1 type of weapon to use, preferably guns or energy weapons.

Alright then, here's the chain of events. After you create your character the Doctor tells you to see some chick at the bar who can give you directions. You can't miss her because you start talking to her instantly after entering. She gives you the tutorial option so you can learn how to shoot, kill a few enemies and craft a couple of healing items. She then tells you to see the bartender, who you find arguing with an escaped prisoner. You can talk to her and find out prison man is after Joe Cobb, who is in the gas station. You then have the choice of helping prison man wipe out the town or fighting back with or without the towns help (You need barter and speech for this)

Now this all optional and gets you a couple levels and some decent items, but you already know what your goal is from Sunny: Track down the guy who shot you by going the long way to New Vegas. (South to Nipton, east/north east to Novac, then North to Vegas/Freeside). In each town along the way there is at least one quest to get you those levels and items. Have fun.

I did all that, then I rescued the pussy sheriff, found that hologram in the desert, stormed a prison, then I couldn't advance through the legion part and that part where you help the NCR on a town. The legion was originally written as a slave army unified in purpose, an army which saw everyone in it as a tool to be used for conquest. They weren't the government of legion controlled lands, they were just the army. They didn't treat men as superior and women as objects, they treated men as combat objects and women as breeding objects. Somehow that got badly conveyed, and in the end, the legion we see were written as angry edgelords who alternate every sentence between threatening to crucify you and demeaning women as sex slaves.
It's possible for the legion as originally concieved to be an interesting faction, but the legion we got was cheap cartoon shit.

Raul is a pretty decent companion for a Legion run.
