Trying to decide if I can be bothered to finish SB when I get back from holiday and stick with it, or just go play on Felmyst

I liked the guild I was in on FF but the leader , my best friend , has become a turbo Normie and barely logs on , so it's fallen apart completely

Whereas I don't know shit about TBC and I'd be playing totally alone but I loved WoW when i played it in Wrath until MoP but always liked the idea of older wow where you have to take part in the community and the difficulty

Every upcoming non-korean MMO nowadays is some kickstarter/early access trash with false promises of nostalgia, so no. There are too many upcoming korean-made games and most of them are never released on west so I stopped caring about them. Alchemia Story looks a bit neat but it will probably be another disposable android game that will die in Korea in a year or so.

I just love Warcraft and TBC is largely pre butchery of characters and lore

Pantheon Online looks like it could be good, and I know it's kind of a silly thing to care about, but the races look pretty bland. Bless Online, on the other hand, has interesting races but seems to be kind of a boring game. The main thing I want from an MMORPG is just a cool world to explore, but not many games try to make something like that anymore and instead seem to focus on ENDGAME ENDGAME ENDGAME and running on a gear treadmill. The MMOs that I most enjoyed playing like EQ2, FFXI, and LotRO, I didn't get anywhere near endgame because I was having fun just running around the world and doing a bunch of quests to read up on the lore and stuff.

FF as in FFXIV? I'm pretty sure you can get the base game with all expansions now in some kind of bundle, or at least the base game and first expansion.for less than $150. You have to get past those to even access the newest expansion's content, so if you wanted to try getting into it, you could just get the first two and wait for a price drop on the latest one. There's also a free trial you can play to see if you'd even like the game.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend the game. It's just WoW but with stuff ripped from other FF games.

As far as I know they basically sell in-game money, and apparently that is the main thing you grind in the game (gotta pay the upkeep to not lose your house).
If that is all they sell, it honestly isn't the worst model out there. Not a good one, sure, but certain not as jewish as Dungeon Fighter Online or the old Grand Chase, for example.

I just want open world MMO with optional 5 man dungeon runs, non-target, intense combat similar to Vindictus, cute outfits for female characters, many weapons and skills to build from (FUCK "MUH BALANCE" PVP FAGS), no world PvP, with both VIABLE options for 10-man long dungeons (1h+) and 5-man max 30 minute ones.

Level scaling from GW2 and TESO would be great too. Simple solution and suddenly EVERY dungeon is playable instead of having crowded first "tier" ones, empty mid ones and crowded "end-game" ones.

As you can see, I expect a lot and there is very low chance that any dev would deliver that, unless I would win a lottery, invest and with having steady, large income, buy some studio and order them to make said MMO. Too low chance as well.

If such game already exist, go ahead and prove me wrong.

All counts. how much killing you do, what type of killing you do. What thing you say in chat, how you say it, what kind of quest you prefer to complete and what activities you making overall. All this shit through your "puberty" will create something Unique in the "end, where you become a little bit more mature and stop being child, but a long way to adulthood awaits you. Ofc people who want to play childs forever can do that by completing some specific quests.
And professions and classes you can choose anything but you can't be good at all of them.

And races will be different and unique, not Human, green strong human and fragile think human with long ears. They will be alienated and fantastic races (humanoidslike tho mostly).
Basically I want almost real life challenges, but with fantasy style and in fantasy world. If I had a lot of money I would make this game in my personal view.

What I can tell you is that UE4 is superior in almost every way to Unity in terms of development tools. Just getting a database for items, spells, player data, etc working in Unity cost me money upfront for a third-party extension and even then it's still a hassle. With Unreal I had a working database in 5 minutes and zero cost.The UI system is better, the lighting isn't weird like Unity's, UE4 has post-process effects that perform way better, and its animation system is miles ahead. That's just for starters.

I don't know if I can get back to MMO's.
Everything follows one or multiple of following scenarios

- if the mmo has a lot of players, it's f2p or WoW

- if the mmo is f2p it's cash shop garbage (Ex. Archeage)

- if the combat/pvp is fun, raids/dungeons are shit (Ex. GW2)

- if the lore & world is amazing, the gameplay is shit (ex. Secret World, Star Wars: The Old Republic)

- If the game is old but gold, it's dead (ex. GW1, Maplestory, Runescape 2 before ruining wildy)

- If the game is okay and still alive, it's probably EVE or WoW, which both are games that should have had a sequel or a complete overhaul/upgrade, but wont because autists can't let go and the devs will milk every last penny they can from it

Also heres some bonus rants about things MMO devs can't seem to fix or get right

- gear durability. Nothing pisses me off more than being in a boss fight or important raid, to have my arrows run out or my weapons/armors to break (usually requires expensive repair kits or town visits)

- tedious crafting/collecting that only invites chinese botters to grind and sell resources and ingredients, ruining economy and fun

- grinding exp o level up or grinding enemies to find that one piece of armor set, or crafting recipes/ingredients.

- cash shop can be used to make money

- RNG drop/loot systems that may force you to spend days doing the SAME thing, because it's the only way to obtain something

- dying can potentially make you lose HOURS of exp or even worse, break your gear

I've been playing Elder Scrolls Online. People say it sucks but I'm enjoying it. And people say it sucked but has been redeemed recently too.

I'm playing with a group of friends and the 3 of us started together and try to play at the same time so that we stay closely leveled and do delves and world-bosses and whatnot together. One friend's a tank, the other is the healer/buffer who also does some CC, and then I'm the physical DPS. Got another friend to join recently too and he's going to become the ranged magic DPS once he catches up to us. The only reason I ever played WoW was because my friends played it. Glad I played higher quality MMOs before I even touched that game or else I might have thought that was the ideal MMORPG. I'm pretty sure it's the same reason people say that they love FFXIV despite me not caring that much for it: the two games are extremely similar.
