It's stale as fuck and can't be evolved any further, every formula has been done to death:
1. Resident Evil aka Cod with shit controls and zombies, why not just play black ops 3 zombie mode then?
2. Silent Hill aka some boring ass character that's a shitty person ends up in some abandoned town or warehouse or asylum, and gets chased around by some generic "badass" monster villain with a special weapon and some kind of edgelord name like "The Bogeyman", "The Executioner", "The Judge", "The Violator" etc, btw the game took place in your head and isn't real lolol
3. You're walking through the woods/government facility and then BOO SLENDERMAN/THE RAKE/JEFF THE KILLER/SCP #8873442 JUST KILLED YOU HOLY SHIT DOOD SO SCARY!!!
4. Hi I'm an indie dev and don't have the talent to make a game with actual gameplay and graphics so I just did these shitty looking artworks with some pseudo intellectual psycho babble about how the game is an exploration of the mind, please buy this game on steam it's only $3.99, or are you too stupid to understand it?*smokes cigarette*
Any aspiring devs here who want to make a horror game, just don't. Make something from a genre that has more to offer than bad controls and shitty jumpscares and cliché look how scary this edgy monster is things.
