Except for the fact that Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were all it had until 3D World dropped. That was a full year into its life.

My two roommates each have one and collectively they have BotW, Snipperclips (which is actually pretty fun/comfy with friends), Mario Kart, and Disgaea 5. They both plan on getting a platoon as well, so it seems like a pretty alright library for the time.

I haven't bought anything for it except BotW and Blaster Master Zero. MK8 Deluxe, ARMS, and Splat2 are definitely games though. And by the end of the year there's going to also be Pokken DX, Mario + Rabbids, Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade 2, and Mario Odyssey.

That's a pretty ridiculous launch year compared to anything else this gen or last gen.

The Switch came out two years after Splatoon 1 came out and they wanted to make sure the Switch got it's Splatoon game out of the way as soon as possible. Honestly no, but I recall Reggie basically saying a while back, they're treating it like Smash and Mario Kart. Why would they make Splatoon 3 on the same system? That divide the fanbase on multiplayer and they wouldn't bother updating Splatoon 2 at all with the support at the moment and for the future. are you using motion or regular controller? it kind of sucks but for me i've found playing defensively works well against a lot of characters/arms. learn the spacing that works best for your arms and the worst for your opponents arms e.g. slow arms = far. learn to curve and get good at reacting to grabs, ever since the max brass patch nerfed recovery of a punched grab its basically a free grab for yourself

Not really. I've got a lot of hours in puyo puyo tetris, a lot in Mario Kart. I have much more room to put into ARMS and Splatoon 2 soon. Then Pokken after that. It's a solid first 6 months and I'm avoiding mentioning BoI and Cave Story because I know those are just updates of really old games.

Would it really tho? I like MK8DX, but it's basically a definitive edition. Like, people want(ed?) a smash port, and theoretically if they had done a smash port I think people would still want a new Smash as well. Fair point's but I IMO, since Dualies barely do any damage, using a roller is terrible for Pvp if you can't get a kill and the charge shots suck ass.

I don't think that's going to be the case. Given that Splatoon is Pokemon-level of popular, and the fact that they already said straight up there's going to be no more updates or splatfests after two years makes me think it's going to be an every other year thing, much how Pokemon is an every three year thing.
