Do you think games like Mafia III ("great story and acting with 'average' gameplay") would fair really well with multiplayer? Would you like to [have] see[n] Order: 1887 multi?
Where is multiplayer in the industry right now? Is it time to refine what a multiplayer map really defines for the gameplay? I'm playing BF1, and some of the TDM/Conquest maps are "a middle building, where trying to flank can come to their spawn"; and I'm wondering if development studios have literally any clue. Nobody seems to call them out on it -- because what journalist actually plays multiplayer? GB? I haven't heard them make a relevant multiplayer critique in a while, if at all. None of journalism seems to try to rally any specific mechanic in multiplayer games if the connection is sort of decent.
I say the main focus should be mobility. CoD: AW got it right with dodges vs. the sort of "I'm going that direction for a little bit" jetpacks that come later; and an interesting criticism for EABF is that it's mostly troops standing around shooting from their respective side of the map, because it's another "2-sided map" episode.
What's your favorite multiplayer genre, and what would you like there?
Besides FPS/TPS, I'm pretty into RTS. Could really use a game with good graphics and a good multiplayer pace.

That's what is cool about BC2 -- every building can be leveled, so there's a counter to uber-camping.
