Played it back when it hit Steam, I think I stopped because you had to buy energy to keep playing or wait for it to regenerate like a mobile game. I think it can make a comeback on the Switch.
most of the playerbase stopped after they got the tf2 hat
the energy system was bad but wasn't game-ruining. It also got removed eventually (and no longer exists for anyone wondering)
IMO the reason the game failed is that the dungeons started to feel repetitive, a couple of bosses were just bullshit, and the bound gear was actually really dumb and nonsensical.

also, to be honest, the game could have benefited from having a bigger hub world.
MMO's can kinda start to feel like a slog if they don't give you more stuff to do besides the standard PvE. Some mini-games or "life skills" or something would have fleshed out the game a lot.
