Remember how excited you were about me /v/?
Yeah and it was a lot of fun.
Had fun, then Max Payne did the job better.
On unrelated question did anyone try to salvage Matrix Online?
I liked it, went through both characters.
>>383778825
you must be one of a simple mind
the bugs in this game were out of control
i absolutely hated this movie in the cinema. it was the exact moment where classic action movies died and we entered an era of nu-cinema
I literally never completed the driving stage. It was a great game though, so fucking satisfying destroying a whole police force.
>>383778923
salvage how? There were a few pserver projects but there was tons of autism drama over some coders, then they all quit and so we have chat room lobbies but that's about it. combat is likely never able to salvaged. It'll just never happen.
>>383778923
Not so far which is a shame, game was unique enough and had some global gm events even.
>>383778741
I remember these wheels.
>>383778741
>>383778741
love this game
>>383779282
wtf
>>383778741
It was a good game, what's your point?
>>383778741
I wasn't excited for you, but I did enjoy playing you back on the gamecube.
The hacking cheat codes were neat too.
>>383778990
Played it on Gamecube. Was pretty fun.
>>383778741
>tfw couldn't beat it as Ghost because Niobe's AI is fucking shit on the last level
I miss The Matrix. The ghost vampires really took away a lot of the appeal but I still thought it was a cool setting.
>>383779282
left is a pc master race with gt 1040
Remember when the Matrix was the hottest shit ever? Remember how at one point internet was full of usernames referencing to Matrix?
>XxX__neo__XxX
>ne0ne
>xxxthe_onexxx
>m0rph1us
>m4tr1x_-_n30
etc.
I remember looking forward to this game, but back then our family computer couldn't run any of the modern games and I didn't have any consoles. I just wanted to *feel* the rush of running on the walls and doing ninja kung fu shit.
I never saw the other Matrix films except the first one. I remember watching the first one and liking it very much and I couldn't wait to see the other ones. I did start to watch the second one when it happened to come from TV, but it was years later and I was kinda bored after 20 minutes so I dropped it.
>>383778741
Well the first movie was a blast and Animatrix was great.
The rest of the franchise is best forgotten.
>>383778741
I liked how it intertwined with the film
>>383779738
Matrix glitch I guess.
>>383784403
I was thinking about this recently.
In that 3 years or so between the first movie coming out of nowhere and the disappointment of Revolutions it was the hottest and most talked about shit.
All the theories and obsession with the style, how huge the hype for the sequels were. How awesome Animatrix was (helped anime become a lot bigger in the west too) and how ambitious the whole franchise plan was. The amount of merch and fan films and games was insane too. Even the figures were top quality. How many nerds dressed in trench coats with sunglasses due to them too?
Whereas now it's just an "oh remember Matrix? First one was cool but eh..."
I mean the sequels were nowhere near as good, but man the whole thing was a cultural force and at least the wachowskis made something that combined a lot of great animes, comics etc. Into a huge blockbuster project, while still feeling like it had a distinct voice.
Fast forward to movies and crazes now, suddenly it seems like we took it all for granted.
>>383779738
Anyone who is old will know that no engine could do round shapes. I don't know why though. But all old games had squares for wheels.
>>383785135
This. I can't think many current movies that have caused such pop culture phenomenon. Maybe the Nolan's Batman movies?
>>383785135
Nothing cool lasts forever. GitS, Lain, .Hack- all gone.
Nowadays it's all capeshit. Will anyone remember Spiderman or Wolverine? It's all so ephemeral.
I loved this game. Whatever its faults were it did the most important thing right: you could do all the cool stuff you see in the movies. Maybe got old relatively fast but really fun for some while.
>>383779058
The first matrix was legit anon. Was a legit feat in both cinema and story, was refreshing to say the least as movies prior had gotten stale in their own right.
It's fate after the first movie though....that's when Matrix itself died and became franchised. Story came second to the florescent green shit show of bright colors and action for the sake of bright colors and action.
First time in my young life that I saw something go from classic to total sell out, that fast.
>>383778990
Not him but...
I played this as a kid on PC and it ran fine, the slow mo action / shootan was great, didn't like the flying bits, that's all I remember about it
Warner Bros should make a new Matrix game and give it the same care they gave Batman Arkham and Middle-earth.
Something like a Sci-Fi Max Payne could work well.
>developer of Earthworm Jim, Sacrifice and MDK
What the fuck happened?
>>383785135
The universe of the Matrix is so cool, if they managed it right to could have been amazing. Sad really.
>>383778741
That game was fucking great.
>>383787407
It is. Remember when the machines poured the planet's entire processing power into one human to turn him into a super soldier to repel an alien invasion?
pretty cool minigame. wish there was more like this. uplink is the only other game I can think of. other hacking games require typing down inputs and that gets tedious as fuck.
>>383778741
This is the true Kino
I remember playing the air plane level over and over because I loved the fighting, and in that level the agent couldn't die so you could just keep fighting until you decided to push him out of the plane.
>>383784403
>>383785135
Remember when the Wachowski brothers were brothers?
>>383787407
yeah too bad the sequels were fucking trash.
>>383784403
then naruto started getting popular... sigh
>the level where you fight Trinity and subsequently destroy that Japanese garden
>the level where you fight the Seraph in that small room, jumping around on tables
>the moment you realized agents could be killed and their weird green colored desert eagles were OP as fuck
How I loved this game. Some levels I replayed a thousand times.
>>383778741
multiplayer was pretty fun i guess
all vehicle missions sucked
>>383779282
you could lower the graphics to the point where the fog was one meter from the screen and the artificial intelligence disappeared
>>383787951
>friedrich nietzsche quotes
Nice.
>>383778741
>people here actually liked this game
that explains a lot
>>383787753
NO NO NO
NO
NO NOdesu though game was alright...but those fucking red pill missions can fuck off.
The worst fucking things I've ever seen.

Please no... I'm getting flashbacks of the spam from 2011

4 (FOUR) CDs
>>383778741
Fuck yeah, Ghost all day. Remember getting good enough to fight Agents to a standstill until you got tired of it or found a high place to knock them off of?
>>383788362
I don't remember them being killable normally.
i dont it was too long ago
>>383778741
During the end of the first mission there was a office window you had to jump out of to get to the driving segment, and if you didn't AI would just continuously spawn. My cousin and I would take turns just surviving wave after wave, trying to see who would live the longest.
>>383778741
It was pretty fun.
Cowboy Curtis best code
>>383778741
I actually still have it. I also played Matrix online for a month or two.
>>383778990
I liked the game as well, despite the bugs. When you're a child you are far more forgiving of things like that.
>>383778741
>The guy that said you could sell any game despite how broken it is (talking about that game specifically) is now a politician
Like pottery
Liked it, but Path of Neo was better.
>Wachowski Brothers are now the Wachowski sisters
We need to reboot the matrix asap.
>>383787876
>>383790353
Everything they've done since Matrix has bombed to some degree. All it shows is that A.) they got lucky the first time, and B.) trannies can't make good films.
>>383785181
What the fuck are you talking about? Fucking Nintendo games have round wheels
>>383778741
No, because I was 5 years old when I picked you up on a whim.
I had fun though.
>>383790569
Cloud Atlas was good tho
>>383778741
I have a soft spot for this game, even after all these years. Yeah, I know it's not exactly a high quality game, but I had a lot of fun beating the shit out of everyone as Not-Morpheus and Not-Trinity.
>>383778741
You were a good game.
>that command line hacking/cheating feature
Fucking brilliant.
Are you guys ready?

>>383778741
the game was fucking great on PC. What was the problem?
>>383791498
leave matrix alone mr penn
>>383791035
this, however sense8 and jupiter ascending i think it was called are both hot trash
>>383791035
The elderly escape and rallying of the soccer hooligans was the best part of the movie, but I think it was a bit hamfisted in it's message, the whole language thing they did with the regressed future cavemen was cool but I think people would be put off by it as it's hard to understand them if you try to focus on what they're saying. I'm no movie or film buff though and that's about the extent of my criticisms for it, I enjoyed the movie over all.
>>383789054
>I don't remember them being killable normally
There was a mission where you had to run from agents and at the same time fight a bunch of SWAT operatives. You could cheese the agent with a grenade launcher or something. I remember testing his pistol on SWAT guys and they died from a single shot. Nobody dropped ammo for it tho. A single clip and that was all.
