Anons, I have ordered pre-owned Kinect. Was suppoused to be in 'very good' state and I have specifically called and asked about optical sensor.

Today it came with the bulge as in the image. Would you keep it or return it? Anybody with such defect? Might it cause light-leaks to the sensor and decrease its precision?

I can't test it yet, because my XO is coming either tomorrow or on monday.

It would probably obscure a tiny portion of its "vision," but the light won't fucking "leak," wtf.
It's not built like a submarine or anything.

Is the bulge hard or flexible?
Just sent it back if it really bothers you that much.

How would I know, it's behind glass. From what I know, it's rubber gasket that prevents light from getting to sensor (it should only get to sensor through lens).

It might be just dummy to look nice.
