Gotta say, compared to the P4 cast, half of the P5 confidants (with a few exceptions) were pretty boring and uninspired. When people said she was a "discount Rise" I brushed it off, but that's literally what she is. Ryuji is the Junpei/Yosuke equivalent but his story begins and ends with Kamoshida and after that his only purpose is to overreact at every given opportunity and escalate every situation (something he never grows out of) despite it being the reason he was kicked off the track team. Don't even get me started on Haru.

I don't think the social link system is a very good way to expand and develop characters to begin with. The social links in P4 were diabolically bad, at least P5 has Kawakami.

Junpei was the most compelling of the three, but at least Yosuke was integral to the plot. He had was in love with the first victim, his Dad run the centrepiece of the entire town, instigates most of the planing and is essentially protags right-hand man until Naoto shows up. Ryuji is mr angry man.

They go to Junes all the time, their base is in the Junes court, they buy all their food from Junes, the Widescreen TV is in Junes and Teddie the Junes Mascot.
