Sir Alonne. Wow. What a pain in the ass, but I'll have to say, he's probably my favorite boss in the entire series.
I also didn't know that he bows to you if you do it first.
I also always wondered why the series lacked badass agile swordsman guys like Sir Alonne and Artorias, and I guess Gherman and Gascoilne count too. But they weren't as cool in my opinion, lol I dunno.

I'll have to say 1 is better overall, besides that stupid bed of chaos which was probably the lamest thing in the series, but 2 is fantastic and honestly, I have more fun playing it.

The run up to Alonne is probably the nastiest boss run in any Souls game. The man himself is almost easy in comparison.
That being said, I love his weapon. It has a cool unique moveset and you can stab yourself for maximum edge power.
