Honestly yes. The dungeon crawling is so tedious and boring, despite all the shit you can do with fusing personas it still sucks.
I just try to do them as quickly as possible so i can get back to the story, but theres also a lot of great story exposition in the dungeons so I dunno.
Just play on easy mode :)

Persona 4, sure. That game's combat is far too simple for my tastes. That said 4's boss fights are great.

P3&5 no way. P3's combat is half the reason I love that game so much, and P5 without dungeons is incredibly mediocre. If you really don't like it just play easy mode so you can steamroll through combat.

I wish they'd just make the dungeons good.

That being said, as someone who plays both SMT and Persona, I find myself enjoying the VN aspects more than the dungeons when playing Persona. This is probably because the battle system in Persona isn't as fun as SMT. Dungeons in Persona would likely be more fun if the battle system wasn't just a watered down version of SMT's press turn.

Dungeon crawling through Persona 3's tower flowed really well with the story. Going into random TVs with too many Teddy cut scenes in Persona 4 didn't. I guess it depends on the game.

Haven't played P5 yet, so I can't say anything about that.
