I went into DR:Trials around 2 days ago and it was for Susanoo Normal. I had to bail out because it took 10 minutes to prepare, 3 sprouted people, and a healer saying "Please don't use LB3, I'll have to use it to revive you guys later."

I'm not joking, we barely even made it to the Clash Sword phase because most of them kept on dying on the normal mechanics.

What boggles me most is that all of them have already finished the fight. There was no extra reward for new people to the fight.

Part of healing's getting a feeling for it, and there's nothing for it but experience, but in general you'll find that at least 75% of the time if not more you only really need to care about the Tank's HP outside of unavoidable AOE or similar attacks that deliberately target a non-tank.

That said, you don't need to be overly nurturing. Everyone only needs enough HP to survive their next hit. Every healer has some method of healing over time and/or damage prevention and reduction, plus they get instant oGCD options that can heal a large chunk of HP at once. So with a well-geared team that doesn't botch too many mechanics, you don't have to spend THAT much time spot healing.

This frees you up to DPS until the next time you need to bring the HP buffers back up, and the faster things die the less you have to heal. Positioning is usually pretty simple; stay in range of your team, keep out of obvious tells.

I'd recommend keeping bosses as a focus target because you can learn what you need to watch for by names, like big tankbuster attacks or upcoming AOEs or such. Remember you have both role actions and class-specific oGCD cooldowns that can help with bursty healing (like, say, Largesse).

I helped a girl I've been playing with who's mostly played Summoner for her entire few months of sub time do Scholar duties on Shinryu and we passed it in two tries (the first try half the group managed to wipe on Diamond Dust of all things after wasting the LB3 on damage and it was just clownshoes trying to triage the team back on its feet).

Oh yeah, but make sure you're using Lucid Dreaming all the time, the MP refresh is probably going to be crucial if you're DPSing hard and/or having to rez people.

Considering im doing what is high end dps on MCH which is around 3300-3400 with a high of 3600 with proper buffs its an ok class but other classes can definitely do better and treat the MCH high as a dps norm. They really need to fix skills like Barrel Stabilizer not having a proper Cooldown that you can use to abuse the Overheat buff and give OH a buff to even consider popping OH to sync with Wildfire.

Why do we know almost nothing about that tall jenga structure in the ruby sea? I mean, i dont know about you but its easily the most impressive engineering achievement in the entire world we've seen so far. There's the crystal tower yes, but its easy to make something tall if you make the base big - getting something thin to stand up is far more difficult and we cant even see the top, it fades into the skybox.

The only way they could "nerf" PLD at this point is lowering his damage, but even if they did, just because of the nature of his abilities he would still have the best mitigation and the strong self heal with Clemency. There's no risk of PLD ever being "bad" in this expansion, although they might nerf him enough that he's less overpowered.

Pretty much the PLD and the WAR play the same. You build enmity with your 1 2 3 combo or Flash, then you use Requiescat and spam Holy Spirit. If you or an ally get on low health you can use Clemency which is a surprisingly strong heal. When you run out of MP you use your DPS rotation which includes Riot Blade to build your MP back up until you can do a Holy Spirit spam again. They can also help their team avoid damage with Passage of Arms which is a really cool ability, sort of like the scholars bubble.

Warrior is mostly the same, except instead of charging MP to spam Holy Spirit you're charging Beast Gauge and using cooldowns to spam Fell Cleave. They can't really heal or do anything interesting, though.

Level the character in potd, grind for tomestones of verity in potd, do ex primals and raids via the party finder. Or level a tank if you want to grind dungeons for verity. That's how I do it.

You can get good gear just by repeatedly doing the 3 endgame dungeons, which pretty much have no requirements and nobody gives a shit about your gear. Just grind up those tomestones and get yourself kitted out.

If you're trying to go into deltascape or the EX primals without going through the trivial effort of getting tomestone gear first then you're kind of being a dick. If tomestone gear isn't enough for your party then they're being dicks and you should just use party finder
