Hit and Zamasu show up exclusively in Super. They are FROM Super.
Battle of Gods and Resurrection F are DBZ movies, and came out before Super ever started. Characters and abilities that appear in those movies are IN Super.
That's the difference - Gold Frieza, Beerus, and Whis aren't FROM Super, they're IN Super, having appeared earlier, just like Goku, Vegeta, and everyone else. Hit and Zamasu, on the other hand, are DBS original characters. There's no indication at all, so far, whether or not ArcSys has any interest in including DBS original content.

First off I never said Z portion was better than DB. That was merely a way to knock DB off it's high horse like it's untouchable, though I do agree it is consistently the strongest portion of the series. How quick are people to forget that Whis has said over and over that he's training them specifically on the condition that they try to become gods of destruction. From the variety of them it's clear that it's something you have to ascend to only by being trained by an angel.

What could happen is Goku will turn it down because that life would be hell to him. If there's one thing all the destruction gods have in common it's that all of them have the same desire for worthy opponents, but now that they've reached the top they never get to indulge in a real battle anymore. I could see him letting Vegeta be the god instead so he would always have someone stronger to fight. Both of them get to end their quest for power satisfied, and continuing to be reluctant friends and sparring partners. Or maybe they both become gods of different places like Beerus and Champa? Or maybe they have to fuse permanently to beat Beerus and become a god that way?

IMO it would be a pretty fitting end. It sets a cap so that there's literally no where higher to go and they're forced to end Dragon Ball for good.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you want something super serious like Z stay away. If you want something on the lighthearted side with situational humor and more of the characters' every day lives thrown in you should jump in.

I wasn't just talking about the gods of destruction. I also meant the angels, the Grand Priest, and Zeno Sama. They've already established that Zeno Sama can never be defeated, and in the last episode they foreshadowed a potential fight between Goku and the Grand Priest with the way they stared each other down. If Goku were to win that fight, then the only being above him would be Zeno. So I'd like for Goku not to have to fight him.

Also, as much as I like Beerus and Whis, they get rid of any tension that the series would have had. The only reason Golden Frieza posed any threat is because Beerus didn't care enough to step in. And then when Frieza won, Whis just turned back time. Same thing with Zamasu. If Beerus wanted to step in, then Zamasu wouldn't have been a problem.

What I think they should do after the tournament is step away from the realm of the gods for a bit. They can keep Beerus and Whis around, but I'd like to see some mortal enemies that even they would struggle with.

I don't think Grand Priest is shady at all. It would just be too much of a leap in a tone that doesn't seem to fit Super. I think he is just well aware of Goku's nature. Goku has been completely remorseless in the face of heroes of justice who consider him the lord of all evil. Goku is an idiot and the grand priest knows he's in over his head.

Beerus doesn't have a unique fighting style, and we haven't even seen whis fight yet, really. Black is unappealing just due to looking like goku even if in the anime he had some inique stuff. They won't make a game that directly competes with their other series. There isn't as much crossover as you might think there is either.
BB has things like the drive system for each character. Also modern anime aesthetics and combos.
GG has dust, RC's are a little different than rapids, 90's anime aesthetic and overall not extreme on the combo flash. I hear it's also more technical, but I don't play enough BB to know how specifically.
Persona arena utilizes the persona cards and attacks. Sho pretty much plays like a BB character, but the persona attacks and breaks differentiate it. Also ease of access.
If anything, it will be much like P4A, in terms of accessibility. Other than it being 3v3, it will probably incorporate a game mechanic that makes sense for the DBZ universe.
