Challenge is single target. Provoke affects all enemies. Cast it for a few turns and all the enemies will attack the sentinel. Hope is the worst character personality wise, but you don't need him. I powered through the game my first time with Light/Vanille/Fang. Doesn't work at all on the mecha bosses in chapter 12, but everything else gets destroyed by rapid debuffing. All characters get cp equally, so there's literally no barrier to switching up the party whenever.

I never used snow unless I had to. He's the best Sentinel but Fang is also a close second while being the best commando. My main party at pulse was Fang/Lightning/Hope substituting in Vanille when needed.

The game really has a big difficulty spike at pulse but thats when you really need to start using the combat system effectively, once you get the hang of it it easily becomes one of the best parts of the game.

Fang is the best character in the game overall. She's hot garbage at healing but she's an excellent com/sen/sab, has access to -ra buffs, and is a decent ravager too. Snow's the best sentinel and one of the most efficient ravagers, but he's pretty weak until endgame.

You can use the Vanille poison summon exploit. If that isn't your cup a tea I recommend Snow/fang/vanille and having one paradigm with sen/sen/sen for ultima

Almost all of the teleport stone hunts are super fucking easy. Also even in Pulse, the game is laid out on a straight path, so you don't even need to do them unless you're going after endgame stuff, in which case you were probably doing the missions anyways.

Yeah I'm replaying for the platinum and there is sort of a spike when you reach Gran Pulse but you can do the Behemoth trick. It's just annoying that only Sazh knows Haste so I can't have an all girl party.

Nigga lightning vanille and sazh make the game a joke, start sab vanille syn sazh and rav/com lightning, vanille will cast some shit that makes enemies vulnerable to elemental damage, sazh will cast enfire on you plus haste, you will be doing massive damage after that to anything that moves, and it works until the end of the game, except for maybe that ship from the psicom commander

All girl party is fine. Fang will stick slow on most enemies fast enough and with Vanille, the two of them working together will quickly cripple the enemy. Later, you can also rush Enthunder on Lightnings SYN tree to get a further boost. In post game, Fang gets haste soon enough, and Lightning gets it too (much much later).
