Yes, but trade holds and the prevalence of backpack.tf makes it a little harder than it used to be. It's how I currently fund all my new hats.

I'd recommend having a large pool of craft hats ready to go, in case of the infamous 15 day trade hold applying. You'll also want to get rid of it on your end by getting mobile auth.

I should add, if you don't feel like queueing for a game you could always open a large steam group like one of a clickbait tf2ber and going through profiles from there. If they don't answer your trade request, add them to friends list and make sure to tag their name with what you want from their backpack in case they accept like a week later.

Put tf_scoreboard_mouse_mode 1 in the console, then hold tab and right click on the name, then click profile.

I usually play soldier and every pyro that somehow manages to find m2 on his mouse can die in a fire, it's simply not fun. At least only every 5th pyro or so knows what an airblast is or I would actually need to use a shotgun as secondary
