DKC2 should definitely have been included, and I don't see why they didn't include Chrono Trigger or Lufia 2.

But why in God's name did they put in Kirby's Dream Course? That game stops being fun as soon as you realize it's golf shit.

SE would be the ones responsible for no CT. For lufia 2 I imagine the company that made it may be defunct. Kirby dream course was added as it was meant to mirror puyo puyo, which appears on the japanese version of the snes mini. Some games are different between the japanese and US versions.

I just started playing Lufia 2. Can't believe I missed out on this gem back then.

You got several things wrong. Kirby's Avalanche is the reskin of Super Puyo Puyo, not Kirby's Dream Course. Panel de Pon is on the Japanese mini, not Super Puyo Puyo. Tetris Attack is the reskin of Panel de Pon, which the US mini didn't get.
