That's legitimately my favorite scene. "If I save you, NO MORE MIKE! PROMISE ME!" Like, holy shit dude, you have a psycho murderer chasing you and you're about to fucking fall off a cliff into a bottomless chasm, is now the best time for this? Are you really doing it right NOW? Of all times? It's the most horror movie shit in the world and I do it every time. When Matt and Pat did it too I truly knew that playthrough is golden.

Why no tits? The "game" is supposed to be like a horror movie, yet is missing an important component.

Why is it that Until Dawn, a horror game, has more intentional laughs than every David Cage game combined? Why is Quantic Dream so humorless in their approach? I can't think of a single joke from any of their games, and I've played from Omikron to Beyond Two Souls.

This picture is what you show someone as your number 1 argument against this style of animation. Her face is normal-sized for the generic character skeleton that he's scaled up 15%, and all the baked-in facial features are stretched grotesquely over the failure to map them out properly. I know it was his first game, but I'm legitimately baffled as to how David Cage looked at this and thought it was good enough.

I have no confidence that his improvements were because of David Cage's own growth as a writer. Heavy Rain was a step in the right direction, though the people who were reining him in forgot to check for his fetish for third act twists. But after Two Souls and reading his incredibly confusing interviews about Detroit where it sounds like HE doesn't know what the game is, well. David is still as big a hack as ever, that's as far as I'll say.
