It used to be shit but apparently, in a weird twist that nobody saw coming, the devs actually listened to the balanced issue's and fixed alot of the problems the original mod had. They're also definitely working on the game but they're taking their sweet ass time.

I've only heard good things about them, but I'd personally would never trust a Early access game out of sheer principal. If you're patient wait it out in case shit gets sour. If not having Xen is okay with you then go get it. Don't get the free mod, it looks pretty but it plays like shit and certain stuff are missing.
