How much would you spend max on a new game /v/?
>>
100 bucks
Actually, if it were a really great game with a lot of content, I could see myself going even higher than that
>>
$60 if it's a good game from a company i want to support
Otherwise, they don't get shit
>>
>>383710701
£30 is my maximum and I only pay it very rarely for like maybe 2 games a year that I deem worthy
>>
If we got to immersive 3D VR world with real scale (village-sized) I could go up to $80.

We are talking game price only and not factoring any upgrades or peripherals the game might necessitate.
>>
>>383710701
£50 is my max if the game is really amazing.

Having said that I've spent thousands on f2p games.
>>
>>383710701
I buy all my games when they're on sale for like 75% on steam. So around 20$ max for a new.
>>
>>383710701
$40. Not even poor, but its been a while since I saw a game worthy of AAA pricing.

For me to shell out a full $60 for a game it needs to have a good campaign and a good multiplayer with the people to fill it. Recent game that comes close is titanfall 2, but it lacks the community. Game that last fit the bill was halo 3

$40 bucks for a game that offers a strong MP experience. recent thing that comes close is BF4. Thing that surely fit the bill was BFBC2

No Sp only game is worth more than $20 to me. No clue how fallout sells at the price it does
>>
>>383710701
4hours max unless its seeded really badly.
>>
depends on the game

Depends on the game. Monster Hunter is a system seller for me, so what ever the game costs plus the console if I don't have it.

I typically do a little research on a game and ask myself 'Will I get one dollar per hour of playtime out of this?' so if the game is 60 bucks I'll ask if I'll get at least 60 hours out of it. If I think I will, I'll go for it. If not I'll wait.

$20. But that never happens unless the game is so shitty that it's tossed right into the bargain bin within a week of its release date. Most of what I buy is used.

I'd be willing to pay more if American publishing didn't cut so many corners to keep down manufacturing costs. Even "collectors editions" here in the U.S. usually consist of some flimsy plastic case produced in a Mexican sweatshop, and a single-page insert in place of a manual.

On a related note, I think it's curious that anyone bothers to collect American media. Do you actually think some flimsy game disc printed in China or Mexico is worth a shit?

Surprisingly high actually
>>
>>383710701
20 $
>>
>>383710701
whatever retail is minus 20%

THANKS BESTBUY!
>>
20 dollarinos
>>

This. I want deep and nuanced strategy games, completely unappealing to casuals and ADHD kids and I'm willing to pay the tax for it. I could easily see myself paying 200-250 dollary for an endlessly replayable and moddable niche game.

Normally I just pirate because why bother, 99% of the games are shovelware now
>>
I thought about this before in the case of star citizen. As a $60 game if it came out in it's current state then hell no.

If it was $120 but had everything they promised on launch then I would gladly buy it.
>>
>>383710701
ONE
MILLION
DOLLARS
>>
$30-$40
$60 if I REALLY like the dev.
>>
Normally not more than $15 max, but I spent $500 AUD to play BotW, and I've spent $600 AUD on one of my accounts on League.
>>
>>383712162
this.
>>
>>383710701
See >>383712162 , but honestly the best games I played in the last months on steam were in the <=5€ category
>>
I bought a Bloodborne Machine + Bloodborne, so about $460.
>>
>>383710701
45 bucks. 60 for sequels I've been wanting to play. I get most of my games from pawn shops and thrift stores so I'm usually good.
>>
>>383710701
$40. I won't buy a new release until it gets some kind of sale. Anything higher is highway robbery.
>>
>>383710701
Depends on the game.

I'd pay 150 dollars for a brand new 100 hour long Final Fantasy Tactics game with great art and sprite work.
I'd say something like The Witcher 3 is well worth more than $60. It would be fair to charge $80 or more with the sheer amount of content and polish that game has.
>>
$60, and it has to be something fucking worth it like a new XCOM with all future DLC included.
>>
$30-40

the last game i payed full price for was goddamned resident evil 6

I will never pay full price for a video game ever again
>>
>>383710701
Nothing until the industry is fixed.

$20. $30 if it's a total complete package like GOTY edition.

Pretty sure I only buy games for the multiplayer part.
>>
>>383710701
30 bucks if i fell for the hypetrain. Otherwise patience pays off.
>>
>>383710701
Whatever price they set as the standard for buying the base game and nothing else. Right now it's $79.99. I don't buy DLC. I don't buy Deluxe or Gold or whatever the fuck. No Collector's Editions. Just the base game. I don't even buy the extremely cheap DLC that gives you a few extra weapons.
>>
>>383710701
15 bucks
>>
100 bucks if it's something i know i'll enjoy. Or 100 bucks for something I might enjoy granted that a season pass is included
>>
>>383710701
One video game should cost as much as 1% of my yearly income.
$800 seems like a good average guess.

>>383710839
>>383711060

Greedy.

You're not going to get rich if you don't act a little miserly, goy

I'm okay with 85k. I'm not greedy to the point I need more.
