My Nintendo is a legitimately terrible service. Replacing free games with discount codes? That's already kind of scummy, but the discounts aren't even that good. Maximum 40% off? For an NES game? What the hell kind of service is that? At least if it was 75%, even 60% off, I'd be a little more forgiving, but add up the restrictions the service places on how you get gold coins that literally prey off the fact that there's a SINGLE PENNY's worth of difference between getting ten more coins when most games are sold at $59.99 instead of the straight-up $60.

That plus most of the rewards kind of suck (nothing physical anymore) and the rewards that are legit cool don't last long enough to pick them up while they're out. Nintendo's game output might be a hell of a lot more impressive than it was five years ago, but the way they treat their customers financially has become actually terrible.

Beyond My Nintendo, consider the price of 1-2-Switch, or the retarded phone-headphone pass-through, or the fact that the Switch still doesn't have a pack-in game. My Nintendo, unfortunately, is just indicative of Nintendo's new management. The quality of Iwata's legacy is living on, but can the same be said for Nintendo's business practices? Kimishima supposedly has a history with banking, and judging by how he's been doing so far, I can definitely tell.

Idk, got my 2 free games from it and some free themes, then kind of forgot it.
I check back once in a while for new themes, it's not like they have any huge plat coin sinks so I just DL stuff like the Kid Icarus anime episodes and special edition themes. I just wish there was actually any sort of selection, they never refresh it and what's there is meh at best.

That's pretty much all that needs to be said. It's complete shit, no one really, if ever, uses it. You get next to nothing in regards to rewards. Hell, I still have most of the original posters they offered and had a few framed just because I liked how they looked.

Most other "reward clubs" are slowly doing the same thing.

I like My Nintendo. I've gotten a bunch of discounts on things or downloaded DLC I never had to buy.

It isn't as good as Club Nintendo but I know physical rewards and the price to ship them was costly.

I remember I discovered these exploits when a friend told me they were giving away free copies of Mario Party 2 and Majora's Mask for the VC. After that and without me noticing my brother sold the Wii and with the money bought a PS4. Then I got a 3DS and days after that they announce My Nintendo as a replacement.

It's really sad to think the only good thing I got from there was a Yo-Kai Watch theme.
