google the psp and vita library and if you can find at least 5 games you would play then yes it's worth it. this applies to every single console ever released.

A hacked Vita is basically a Vita and a PSP at the same time while the PSP is only a PSP.

On the Vita you get all the Vita Games, Vita Homebrew/Emulation AND the PSP with its PS1 and PSP Homebrew/Emulation. You do need to find a Vita on 3.60 though as it's the only hackable firmware and there's no way to downgrade

Vita is pretty much a PSP with fancier hardware with henkaku+adrenaline. It's worth it for that alone. Some pawnshops around here have 3.60 or less Vitas for $80

What you should be looking for are Vitas on 3.60 or less. Sometimes you got a mom who's selling off their Sons Vita because they played minecraft for only 2 hours on it and they're selling it off dirt cheap. Almost guaranteed to be on exploitable firmware.
