I am the only one who felt mario 64 as a weird game? Like, not being a mario game at all. Feels like they're were developing another game then they put mario on it. Like mario bros 2.

Because the 3D transition made it feel so radically different. SMB is just platforming, jumping on enemies, and collecting coins/items. And SM64 is still exactly that if you think about it. Just 3D.
