I was looking forward to 3 for playing it last but it was the same reusable levels. Fucking dissapointed since i never beaten it as a kid. I don't know why, it was so fucking easy.

At least Crash 2 was the best.

Makin' Waves isn't that hard to platinum. The motorbike levels though, fucking hell.

Yes. The games are exactly the same as the originals minus slightly different movement which makes 1 a tiny bit harder than it was, but nothing you won't adapt to quickly if you're used to how it played on PS1. It's just people who haven't played them in years or haven't played them ever realising just how hard Crash 1 and old games in general were compared to modern stuff that's causing all the Dark Souls memes.

I recently played the original games for the first time since I didn't feel like buying the remaster. I just finished all of them and it really wasn't very hard, and I am awful at video games. I have never played the remakes, but are they really harder than the originals or is it like Mega Man Zero where everyone says it's really hard, but it's actually easy unless you are trying to go for 100%?

All levels remain unchanged, the controls are arguably better than original. People who say that the remake is the Dark Souls of platform games are shitters who can't play anything without regenerating health and checkpoints every 5 steps (and there are checkpoint boxes everywhere in Crash Bandicoot).

I think the "return to level select" in 3 was still marked as warp room in the ps1 game, but the warp room was always called 'the time twister' in name.

i was doing time trials on 3 and i can only get gold. i died so many times though just doing a lot of them. i actually never did the secret world either, and the first stage is a jet ski one, and then i miss 2 boxes on it. fucking hell
