What I liked about it the most was that it felt like a breath of fresh air for the series.
All the pokemon in the game are new, they didnt reuse any from previous games like they usually do. It also takes place in a region that I thought was pretty unique compared to previous games. I also found the story to be more enjoyable compared to previous games.

Other than that I'm not sure, I just liked it a lot. Hard to say if it's really that much better.

Oh, and it also has many of my favorite grass and bug type pokemon.

The first Black and White games is only populated with gen 5 pokes
