I was told that "i-it gets better!!" so I kept playing until I beat the dragon. The game world never stopped being more generic than Cyrodiil, and combat never stopped being square mashing. The climbing system was fucking wasted potential: the mechanic. It was never useful on more than a couple of different enemies and even for them you just used it to climb to a weak spot and mash some square.

After you beat the dragon it's revealed that the game isn't actually over yet, but all that's left is a couple of boring fucking dungeons and grinding. There was never any proper exploration because 99% of the game world is uninteresting and bland with the same assets recycled over and over.

What a shit fucking game shilled by a rabid and retarded fanbase. No one would like this garbage if you couldn't make loli characters in it.

Yeah, if you're new, the game can be rough. But you didn't bother to learn. I can tell you made a shit ton of mistakes already, if the already E-Z P-Z AI over whelmed you into defeat at 15hrs.

Take some Protips: Don't spread out fast, you can only sustain a few top unit armies even at end game. Channel your inner Trump and BUILD WALLS. WALLS prevent the AI from just walking into your towns and fucking them up while you're away. Army comp should look like - 8 Shield units, 3 ranged units, 4 Calvary units, 4 artillery / specialty damage dealing units and 1 side lord/lord slayer.

Shield units in the middle on a long line, cavalry to the sides, ranged up front of shields but not too far. Move forward slowly and when enemy is in reach of your ranged, enemy AI will charge you. Attack with your ranged while they are moving, and move your shield wall to meet them. Once engaged, use your Calvary to charge their asses, and your specialty units to pick off stragglers.

This will win you games 80% of the time baring exceptions like ultra units, race specific abilities and units. Total Warhammer is much like chess while Starcraft 2 is like checkers.

I made an error in that post actually. I don't "play" FM, at least not anymore. I "use" it.

What does that mean? I spend two years in-game building an unstoppable empire at Tottenham before quitting and holidaying/simulating for as long as possible. It's a bit of a complicated process however, because I also want to get Brighton, Wimbledon and FC United of Manchester promoted to make things more interesting in the long run without using the editor. This requires HUGE amounts of hours saving & reloading before several lower league matches all throughout the season; it's especially bad when all the teams I'm trying to boost are playing on the same day.

As if that weren't bad enough, I actually spend more time on the real-time editor (FMRTE) than I do playing the game. Every time I look at a player's stats, if I ever see a value that doesn't satisfy me, I have to change it in the editor, and I often do it in large batches. Again, this gets especially bad when the regens arrive in the game, complete with all their weird, out of whack attributes and lack of preferred moves. Every time they arrive, I spend days, if not weeks editing before advancing the game.

I've played this game for over a year and have no regrets, but the cash shop seriously sucks. Character-bound costumes for $30-$40 each, and shit like the value pack, weight, inventory slots, pets, etc. are awful.

For those that don't know: the value pack in Black Desert is like Patron in ArcheAge. It lasts 30 days and gives you several benefits you'll want to progress efficiently.

I'd love to give it a proper chance but the game runs hot as fuck for some stupid reason and I've played a lot of unoptimized trash, it's the only game I've ever tried that consistently runs my CPU up to 70c+ and that's just in the starting area right after character creation. I can only imagine how bad it would get when I'm actually fighting a lot of enemies at once with fancy particles everywhere.

I played Bioshock 1 first due to the hype and comparisons to this game I had never played, System Shock 2.

So then I went and pirated a copy of SS2 - and it was absolutely brilliant and it blew Bioshit out of the water. Bioshock looked pretty (the opening with the water is 10/10), but the game falls apart - especially its ending content. (also SS2 was scary as fuck as opposed to the boring setting in Bioshock)

Last Light's story is horrid, don't get me wrong. And the latter half of 2033 where you're fighting Omebas? That's a bit stupid in itself. But the majority of the game has a pretty well done narrative, I thought it was fun game play wise as well. One of the only games I've played where stealth isn't convoluted and is rewarding. Though I only played the vanilla version, not sure if the Redux is any good.

Bought Dungeon Defenders 2 in beta because I loved #1. Turned out to be a total fucking shit show from second 1, and then the game went free to play as it released.

Astroneer taught me to never buy another early access game. Literally the least optimized game I've ever played, most buggy, and most content lacking.

The Division wasn't really surprising that I disliked it in the end but I still genuinely enjoyed the first ~50 hours.
