Just got an oculus rift touch bundle for 300 bucks. No experience with vr before. What am I in for? What games should I get? Should I buy a 3rd sensor?

How great is vr porn?

I own a Vive myself, for $300 though I would have definitely gotten a rift instead that price is too hard to beat.
Vive with the new audio strap, TPCast for wireless, and the new knuckles controllers would be a far better experience in my opinion if cost was no object.

As far as games are concerned I recommend checking out the following
>H3VR
>Retro arcade neon
>poolnationVR/SportsbarVR
>Paddle up
>Holopoint
>Space pirate Trainer
>Raw Data
>Arizone Sunshine
>Vanishing Realms
>Golf Club VR

free/demos
>The lab
>Bigscreen Beta
>Waltz of the Wizard

boku haram
>CM3D2
>Honey Select
>VR Kanojo
>Virtual Desktop/whirligig for SBS videos

Have fun man, the game lineup currently isn't all that exciting for me but the first few months of trying out roomscale VR for the first time were bliss.

Haven't tried any of the Oculus exclusive games, they should have a fair amount of interesting titles that aren't funded with a shoe string budget. Didn't want to risk getting locked out of the Oculus store with revive though.

How well does the Rift work with one sensor while sitting at a desk? I'm not really interested in ruining wires all over creation to do this roomscale shit. Just want to sit and play comfy VR.
>>
>>383668897
should work fine with one camera granted you are seated or standing without occluding it.
So perfect with hotas/steering wheel or xbox controller when seated.
>>
>>383669131
Good to know. I was worried about how well the Touch controllers would work since I assume the sensor needs to see them to work and my desk may be a tad high. Might just have to sit a bit farther back when using them.

>What am I in for?
Buyer's remorse
>What games should I get?
Superhot
Robo Recall is also neat, and it's free
Everything else is pretty much shit, in fact this guy >>383668282 is trolling you
Should I buy a 3rd sensor?
Not really. Not enough games that take advantage of it to justify the purchase.

in eastern eu it's still $800+

Bundle was dropped to $400 on Amazon for a sale plus there were gift card shenanigans to bring it down further.

If you are using touch controllers it does indeed need to be in the camera's field of view. But you get a second camera with the touch controllers anyways so don't worry about that.
As for setting up the cameras you can just place them angled overalapping each other's FoV with enough spacing on your table. That should be good enough for standing/seated with touch granted you do not turn around and occlude both cameras.

If you want standing experience in place using 2 cameras then you will likely need a USB3.0 extension cable to place the other camera behind you. That setup could also be sufficient for room scale though 3 cameras are recommended for that.

>trolling
I never stated any of those games were amazing, those were a few of the top of my head that weren't complete utter junk.
>>
>>383669993
Oh I didn't realize the controllers came with a second sensor. I'm in a corner so could easily put the second on a shelf to my left or with a little more effort wall mount one behind me. If one in front and one to the left is enough I might be gold.

Bro, Honey select is the shit.

Go to /h/ and install it with the mods, then you go to roy12's mods blog and you download all the girls he imported ( All from DOA5, Samus, 2B, Juliet and more. )

You're gonna have a great time.

I've got a Vive so most of the games are cross platform.

My recommendations are
> Space Pirate Trainer
> Superhot
> Elite Dangerous
> Star treck Bridge Crew

Free demos that are worth trying out
> The Lab
> TheWaveVR
> Accounting
> Google Earth VR
> McOsu

>If you want standing experience in place using 2 cameras
made a mistake there, you can do standing with 2 cameras in front. I meant for if you wanted to be tracked even when turning around.
I even manage to loose tracking with vive with two base stations in opposite corners of the room for a brief moment once in a blue moon but it reestablishes tracking quickly.
>>
>>383671065
So 2 cameras is fine with games like superhot/space pirate trainer/arizona sunshine? Not sure how many games utilize the room scale/360 aspect. Are there any games where it falters?
>>
>>383671160
I haven't tried the rift's tracking to be absolutely certain. But I've heard of some people managing fine with 2 cameras granted they have positioned them with good coverage.

In Space pirate trainer there are a few instances where the enemies would hover behind you. Most of the time they are in front to the left and right.
Haven't tried superhot yet so I cannot comment.
If I remember correctly Arizona sunshine allows you to rotate with controller.
you might be able to get away without 360 rotation, I haven't noticed because I never had that obstacle. Anyways I have to go, have fun.
>>
sairento is awesome on the vive, id imagine its similar on the rift, its great because it feels like raw data or superhot, but has more customization and replay value, and isn't even out of early access yet.
>>
Is Everspace playable yet?
