Red Orchestra 2, though it's very rough, it's got things that I wish other shooters would emulate. Darkest Hour (a mod/expansion for the first RO game) has some more interesting mechanics, though it too feels outdated in terms of how static the map is.

IL-2:1946 is pretty good,

War-Thunder is alright if you're new to flight-games and don't mind grinding.

RO2 and rising storm definitely. RO2 has really fun tank combat to play with friends where everyone is in a specific crew slot and has a specific job to do in the tank and if they get killed someone has to drag their corpse out of their seat and climb through the tank to take their place. Sadly nobody plays tank servers anymore.

I had fun with Day of Defeat: Source but it's definitely not going to win any awards for realism or FPS gameplay. It's fun if you want modes source servers in a WWII setting.

World of Tanks and World of Warships are really cool for their catalog of vehicles and model design but the gameplay is sooooooo slow and the grind takes forever. If you want to play past tier 7 you have to be ready to dedicate weeks or even months of heavy playtime or dump a few hundred dollars into the game.
War Thunder is much faster gameplay and is lighter on the grinding but it also gets rough past tier 3/4.

The sniper elite series is pretty fun, not much else to say just snipe Nazis

For MMO WWII Heroes & Generals turned out to be surprisingly really fun for me. It turns into a pretty heavy grind unfortunately. I used to play a game called Battleground Europe or sometimes just called WWII Online that was really fun and tactical but I don't know if anyone even plays it anymore.

I'm having sudden flashbacks to playing old Sniper Elite, Medal of Honor, and WW2 CoD with my father. I highly recommend all of those except MoH Rising Sun and CoD 1

Day of infamy is a piece of shit because of devs, they were too stupid to fully integrate mod support, instead they made "official" server and they almost got hidden the unofficial servers with custom maps, that game is dead because of pure sheer incompetence
