Is that Kaitlin Olsen?
Serious answer: You can tell that you can go under because the bridge casts a shadow over the grass.
I remember actually getting stuck here in pokemon red for about an hour when I was 6 or 7. How the fuck is someone supposed to know to hit down on a carpet?
Fucking hell m8
>>383662620
you dont put carpets next to the wall
>>383662620
I must've watched someone play Chrono Trigger at some point. That being said, it's still one of those video game tropes that don't make sense if you're in the know.
Actually, looking at CT now, I have no idea how you're supposed to know to go south there. Maybe it's the fact that it's the only part of the floor tiles that touches the wall. And if you've ever seen a picture of the overworld, you'd know that doors are always on the south end of buildings. Kind of makes sense that they would start you outside of your house at the start of Ruby/Sapphire.

If a 5 year old me can figure it out, you can.

I remember getting stuck in a random house in Secret of Mana when I first played it
>>383662620
I got stuck here as a kid too because I couldn't tell it was a carpet, also since it was my first RPG I wasn't aware of why there was no door or anything.
>>383662620
Have you never seen a doormat?
>>383664560
>major cities are full of these 'things'
