What did you guys honestly think of Resident Evil 5? It's one of my favorite games but all I hear about it is how shit it is.
Sheva not being in any other RE games is a fucking travesty.
I'm with you, OP. RE5 is an amazing co-op experience with likeable characters and toptier production values. That being said, I understand RE series fans hating it for continuing the RE4 trend of moving away from the traditional style.
Sheva is alright overall but I don't really miss her companionship in newer installments.

My opinion of the game is probably really biased because I only ever played it Co-Op and I played Sheva while I did it. I have yet to get to RE6 but looking at the cast list, why generate a new guy to act as Chris' better half when Sheva would be just as well? Considering they're still BSAA, it doesn't really make too much sense.

Sheva is a sympton. Pretty much all supporting characters are one-offs in RE.
I loved it. One of the best coop games I've ever played. Just the other day I started playing it again and when I realized I had probably played about 1/3 of the game before stopping.
The Co-Op was definitely a negative but it wasn't the game breaker everybody says it is by a long shot. Of the 4-6 trilogy definitely the weakest entry but still a great game.
>tfw Sheva would be 31 today
Can you imagine being seduced by such an experienced agent?~

it's not that bad. 4 was just a tough act to follow.
As a solo only player, I tried to play it for the first last month, dear god is it terrible.
It is like they took the worsts parts of 4 and made a game out of it. Its like a arcade game, this isnt how Resident Evil should be.

It was fun, but a very weak installment. And anyone who played it solo could have nothing but contempt for that ammo wasting nigress bitch.

I never understood why people hate on Sheva so much. I was only able to beat the game on the hardest difficulty setting because of her. She was way faster reviving me or offering support than any human player I played with.

>Didn't play as Sheva
lol
>>383656791
I guess if you only played with dropkicks that makes sense. But for me, no matter the difficulty, she had some grudge against either me (and my ammo), or against the floor and walls surrounding enemies.
Her voice was annoying, too, but that's just my personal thing.

>Not wanting to punch boulders
Lol, what a gay.

>Hating the best female character in Resident Evil
Well, tied with Ada
>>383655071
Good co-op, great Mercs, and funny writing, but the campaign was rehashed from RE4 so it felt less special than that game. Also, the original script which had Barry instead of Sheva and Tyrant would have probably been much cooler.
>teleport behind you
>slit throat
>psshhh nothing personal niggah

>Hating the best female character in Resident Evil
I could never hate Becky. The useless negro with no real reason to like her? Not a fan.
>>383658024
I don't know if you're referring to the movie character or Chambers and either way your taste is legendarily shitty
>>383658327
Movie character? I mean, she was pretty lousy in Vendetta, but there's simply no way a Resident Evil fan could dislike her in the games.
But if you like the worst AI character designed thus far, i guess that makes sense.
>>383655071
I personally have no problem's with the game itself, I just got tired of the stupidity of the story and it's constant ramping up of giant monsters and Michael Bay-esque non-sense. I understand that it's what RE has been about from the start but I hated every boss design aside from the giant bat and the elevator spider.
>>383655071
It has the best Mercenaries out of them all.
6 was too easy and 4 was too much stop and go.
the No Mercy mode is specially awesome, really really tense compared to 6.
>>383655071
I thought it was really fun, although I disliked the forced co-op/ai partner that continued into 6.
Granted the tank controls were a bit outdated, but it worked for that game.
