Your favourite Persona game is the one that has the characters and story you liked the most. In terms of gameplay 5 may be the best, but in terms of characters and plot 3 has a soft spot in my emo teenager heart, mostly because of Aegis.

Some characters were just slight modifications of ones we already had. Haru is Mitsuru + Yukiko while Makoto is just timid Mitsuru. Ryuji is Yosuke + Kanji. Anne is literally just Lisa from P2.
