I had no problem with the boss. Hide behind the pillars as a ball and jump if it gets close.

>tfw playing Echoes with a broken left stick back in the day
>>383652486
>if you sequence break and get power bombs early, he can be killed in one hit.
>>383652486
such a god damn fucker on hard.
>>383652602
>as a ball and jump
Ok, you can't jump as the ball in the Gamecube version, you must have played the wii version, where the boss got nerfed as one of the changes.they also fixed a possible softlock in sanctuary fortress and changes a few other minor things
For some reason I never go into regular mode for him, he just seemed like a boss you have to fight in morph ball
is it easier to fight him with just the beam? don't you need to bomb him out of his liquid form?
>>383652602
The pillars don't stop him, he goes through them and can hit you right after that, also you can't jump as ball on MP2, you must have played trilogy.
One of the biggest issues with the fight was that he moves way too fast for you to keep track of him with the tank controls so you really couldn't see him coming as the ball
>>383653323
Nice bait, you can't deal enough damage with the bombs to kill him before the atmosphere gets you
>>383653838
the four pillars each have a large health in them, if you don't get hit much I don't see the problem
>>383653973
And only he can break them. Also still not enough damage and no way anybody is going to be so retarded to try and get him with bombs alone. 3 bombs deal less damage than 1 normal beam shot
This guy filtered out most of the people who I know played the game.
>>383653489
not to mention when he is in boost mode he is invulnerable and deals 100hp of damage per hit, on normal for the gc version, and the boost guardian can do up to 5 consecutive charges before becoming vulnerable again for a semi random time period before entering the boosing state again.
and on hard mode it does 170 base damage per attack and the atmosphere drains 2x as fast.
>>383652486
This was decently hard of course but I never saw it as an issue like most have, the same goes for the Spider Guardian which I find to be way easier than this boss & I never understood why most had an issue with it. It's a shame the Trilogy version nerfed both of them.
>>383653973
It's one of those "Lol dude the hardest part of the game wasn't hard for me, was it supposed to be hard? Didn't even feel it" bait posts
>>383652602
Why even be a ball when he's boosting around? Just space jump until he stops.
>>383655256
the DLC missions are in fact the easiest, because they're always the same every time
>>383652486
every square foot of this game past the first 2 levels is a casual filter but FUCK every bird jump
>>383655256
>when you get site recon after you have hover shivs
>>383655113
fuck that guy, a fun fight tho but he should be in dark aether so you get rekt by ambience if you wait too long.
>>383655446
3rd person camera makes it way easier to know where he is, and also it means you're already ready to lay bombs to hurt him while he is a puddle
>>383652486
:^)
>>383655907
yeah but you get hit while being a ball and you bump like a motherfucker waiting for the next hit
>>383655256
Nothing's worse than the first time you do this mission, and you realize you've moved up way to far and you might not make it
>>383655959
>8 energy tanks + reserve
>130 missiles
Phantoon in a casual play through ain't that tough.
It's only when you're doing some sort of challenge run that he becomes an asshole
>>383653489
he does not go through them he bounces off
>>383655256
>only lost some random shmuck to this on my first try
>>383654323
I have no clue why people keep saying Minotaur is hard, I remember just spamming ice attacks with flynn and every demon,or whatever he was weak too, its been too longand he died in three turns, maybe its because I was on normal mode?
>>383656427
the big meme is having Walter as a partner and getting shrekt because he nulls fire
>>383656427
Minotaur is really RNG heavy, if he doesnt crit you or spam Laybrs strike you can beat him without too much of a struggle but if he crits once or twice at the right times even the best party to counter him will fail. RNG was in your favor

How's the enemy placement related to the level design in REmake? Because old Re, especially especially RE2 had a fucking horrible enemy placement where you'd open a door that lead into a tight hallway and you immediately had 3 zombies right in front of you, that's just bad design if you ask me
>>383657183
REmake is a master piece, the only way to get 3 zombies stacked is by your own mistakes
