You're in for a romp. The music is actually really great, the aesthetic is Igor is fake and is actually the main bad guy. Akechi works for the asshole that gets you in trouble in the first place, his name is Shido.

You also die but as a cognition to trick Akechi after the Casino scene.

Mementos is required, the real Igor created Morgana but the velvet room starts at the bottom of Mementos.

Anyone paying a modicum of attention knew though, Akechi being the killer isn't the twist of the game regarding him. The twist is that the group knew he was the traitor and planned the Casino heist around that knowledge, that I did not know until it happened before my eyes.
