Depends on the game.

If it's a small independent studio, without a big publisher, I usually don't. Even if their game isn't up to what I'd hope for, at least they're making the attempt, and for small devs attempt usually always comes at some financial risk.
These are guys likely already working a job that doesn't make them enough, trying to spend their own time and money on their love and dreams, and hoping maybe they'll see a brighter day.


If it's a large dev studio, that's able to pay their employees like clockwork?
Then their game better be up to what I hope for, otherwise I'm pirating that shit, because they'll be getting paid regardless.
If their game is good, it's unlikely my or anybody's pirating would have a substantial impact beyond the nominal ROI.
