Haven't played EV yet but I ended up really enjoying this game too. I thought the characters and events were a bit stupid but I actually did end up getting invested in the story after a while. I don't know if the battle system will win any awards but I was really just expecting more Senran Kagura so it surprised me. As always, the music kicks ass. Viola's battle theme is my favorite.

Plot is the girls (protagonists) have a virus that let's them basically become super soldiers, so they get sent to islands to get "quarantined". Anime and this game are 2 separate islands so they have no connection to each other and the meaning of the virus is a bit different between the 2. However you can get DLC here to play as a character from the anime.

They attempt to in the anime but can't due to the government basically holding them there hostage and sealing off escape routes. In the game they are being "told" that this virus is deadly and can only be treated if they stay on the island.
