You can tell it was kind of rushed near the end. The enemy placement was less polished and areas became less interesting and more "open fields of nothing". It just got less focused as it went on. Still good though.

have a switch/ps4/decent PC, the dark games are weaker than demon's/ BB easily. If dark 1's second half was as good as the first half it would be the best probably. Instead, the only thing salvagable after the first half is AotA and TRC.

I liked the Duke's Archives but other than that I agree it completely runs out of momentum after Anor Londo. The levels are elementary and empty after that.
Izalith should have been cut.
