And that's exactly the reason why this was my last game of that series. IMO Yuke's is done. WWE should get a new developer ASAP. To bad all the good ones are gone by now. Some say AKI was the best, but I think the guys that made the Fire Pro and King of Colosseum were the best. But since Wrestling sims aren't that appreciated in the West I really wished for Squares Development Division (All Star Pro Wrestling) to make a US-licensed game, to bad they're closed.

After that PS2 game I was much more interested in the japanese games. The PS2 really had great Wrestling games like All Star Pro Wrestling III and especially Fire Pro Wrestling Returns (Fire Pro Wrestling World came out today! ... too bad at this time only early access via Steam) and certainly the King of Colosseum Games.

The PS2-Era was the last time the developers (or may I say some) really put effort and thought into their wrestling games. Just one generation later and the genre was pretty much dead with only the mediocre crap from Yuke's as sole survivor.
