Cautiously optimistic. I like the idea of 360 degree aiming but I'll have to play it to say for sure. That melee counter looks out of place for Metroid, so I'm skeptical of that as well. Best case scenario, it won't be necessary. As long as the exploration is fun I'll probably like it.

Might be cool, but it'd have to be in a scene without Samus, otherwise it'd conflict with Fusion's opening. Maybe an ending bonus scene where you see them start to multiply after the metroids are all dead.
