It wanted to be competitive while listening to and balancing around what bothered the casuals. Also the community is fucking dreadful. Also the developers push updates far too slow and clearly play favourites with the characters. Also they're stupidly restrictive if you want a OW tournament. Also the developers are fucking idiots and the writers are lazy fucks.

no steam = no buy

It's just an entry level FPS that doesn't really do anything interesting or exciting. It has personality and that's what people gravitate towards, it's otherwise quite a dull game. I played about 50 hours of it and whilst I did have some fun I just can't find a reason to keep playing, nothing about it compels me to keep playing. Couldn't play it competitively, there's little depth to it.
