It sold well. Sony was in financial trouble (I don't know if they still are, but PS4 helped them out of a jam for sure) so this saved Microsoft from having a monopoly on the Western console market.

I'm still less than impressed with the system so far. The only other thing that went right for them, in my mind, was their Bloodborne exclusivity. Bloodborne is still the best game they have. In fact its the only reason I own a PS4. The sad thing is that for a Bloodborne machine it doesn't run Bloodborne all that well.

The story isn't as good. The characters aren't as entertaining or memorable. The open world isn't as interesting to explore. The antagonists aren't as memorable. Delsin has more powers but they aren't as impressive or entertaining to use due to the lack of depth each one of has compared to IF1 and 2's powers which were short in number but had a lot of depth. The choices don't impact the story as much as they did in the first two games.

There are a TON of local co-op games on PS4. In what world do you fucking live in?

Nearly all Fighting and Racing games are a start. Then you have hundreds of different indie games like Helldivers, Gauntlet, Magicka2, RocketLeague, N++, and so on. Even on the AAA space there is LBP3, WipeOut, Diablo3 (on consoles it has local co-op), Borderlands collection and so many others that I recall.
Seriously next time spend 10 seconds on google instead of acting like massive retards. You'll find lists with hundreds of local co-op games for PS4.

PC master race here. What went right with the PS4? Well, 2 things at least that I can think of.

For one, the controller is a good addition to my setup. Easily works in just about any game with a bluetooth dongle. It's not perfect, the touchpad is pretty superfluous. It's overpriced, but I got mine for a deal on black friday. So thanks for that I guess, PS4.

Secondly, it's been a pretty underwhelming console generation, so much so that they're reiterating it with "pro" and "elite" or whatever. Good. A console is a pc for which you don't choose the parts, shoved into a plastic box, with company branding on it, on which only walled garden approved software works. This generation made that clearer than ever, and that's a good thing.

Whatever happened to the Idort master race? I have a Switch. I have a PS4. I have an expensive PC. I have a 3DS and a Vita. I don't have an Xbone because I don't use online features that often and I don't particularly lust after any games on it. I understand the console warrior mentality somewhat, if you can only afford one and you've had no contact with the other side it can seem like you have all the advantages. But it's not enough to flaunt your features anymore, now you have to represent all that's good and your opponents have to be blundering bumblefucks with no bonuses at all. All platforms have pros and cons that only become apparent after you've experienced them yourself, but these days it doesn't seem like anyone wants to even try out other systems. It's fucked. We can't see the good in things anymore.
