This would've been novel if it came out shortly after it was announced.

As it is, it's basically COD Zombies/Killing Floor with more filler. The base building aspect is okay but I think you're putting too much faith in people that would rather just massacre stuff in pre-made arenas.

The gameplay footage having so many numbers popping out of enemies doesn't inspire confidence in what could end up Borderlands-level slugfests.

The aesthetic is cute, but the monsters look like generic smartphone stuff.

The half-assed observational humor and quips during the trailers aren't inspiring any confidence either.

That's an old screenshot though. Now the game is 15-20 minutes because the map is smaller and towers do literally nothing. If one team ever gets a kill they can walk up to the closest tower as 5 and down it in 5 seconds before the other team can even react. Don't need minions because it doesn't do any damage.

I actually thought the game was releasing on the 25, not that it was going Early Access and then F2P in 2018. Was under the impression it was a buy-once coop game that would come with a 4pack option. But i wasn't really following it outside of the original trailer in 2010 and the most recent one.

Overall feeling that f2p is a shame. Will probably wait for reviews before making a purchase on the EA. Assuming the $30 pricetag im reading in this thread is USD, which means huge beaverbucks for myself.

As for gearbox publishing, i though that was only for the console versions? However my understanding is that the game is only playable through their PC launcher :|
