As I said in my original post, I really hate high-heels as a concept anyway, but it's super retarded in any combat scenario. I remember one of the Tomb Raider games had the good sense of Lara turning up to a party wearing them and she ditched them the second shit went down.

There's nothing wrong with sexy. I just think it has to make sense. I know I'll probably get flack for saying this, but I think League of Legends does female characters really well. They're not afraid to do sexy. For example with Ahri, who's basically a Korean succubus. It makes sense for her to be sexy. Or Xayah, who doesn't really have any reason to be super sexy, but it doesn't detract from her at all. Even characters like Jinx and Lux are "sexy" but in different ways that make sense. It wouldn't make sense that a red-bull chugging gun-touting maniac would be super curvy. Jinx is lean and mean. Their female characters are pretty attractive, but in ways that make sense and either add depth to the character like with Jinx, or at least in ways that don't detract because sexy isn't a bad thing.

Even if the character's goal is to be an unlikable shit who you detest meeting, you should still have some draw to that character, like wanting to best them or see if they get redeemed or something, or wanting to know how they got to where they are in the first place.

An easy way to make a character interesting is with sexuality. You can hook a player into wanting to listen to or work for a character by making the player wanna fuck that character.
