I can't believe Mighty No. 9 got funding when Mega Man has been outdone by countless developers where unique genres like rhythm can't get a break when two of the best talents team up.

To be fair, this game didn't get much funding because of MN9, in all likelihood. It might have done well a few years ago, but after the MN9 debacle everyone is bunt out on these kinds of kickstarters.

This, a kickstarter needs to show it can actually deliver to succeed now, which is why the Fight Knight kickstarter was so successful due to the devs having showcased how the game went through it's developement and had a fun demo of the first two areas.
If it's just a few pictures and idea then people are going to be sceptical as fuck.
